Phase 1 · Step 4 of 10

Make One-on-One Connections

Turn a crowd into relationships by connecting between gatherings and introducing neighbors to one another.

The core principle

Success is not the organizer knowing everyone. It is everybody beginning to know everybody else.

What to do next

  • Invite one neighbor to do something small
  • Learn one useful thing about each person
  • Make thoughtful introductions at gatherings

Choose a few people you would genuinely enjoy seeing again. Take a walk, get coffee, arrange a playdate, or watch a game. At the next gathering, become a temporary switchboard and introduce people around shared interests.
